The 2026-27 RNAF program seeks US-based candidates who are US citizens or residents, early-mid career (5-20yrs experience), with a college or vocational degree minimum, and exposure to building design, construction, operations or maintenance.
Personal experience with building damages/disasters is a plus.
Fellows are provided free materials and receive a stipend. They will be independent contractors, engaging part-time with RNAF, while holding other employment.
In future years RNAF hopes to expand internationally.

A new 8-month paid part-time remote fellowship program to develop
the next generation of resilience champions will begin in 2026
January 20, 2026 –- Resilience Action Fund (RAF), a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering consumers, businesses and officials with the knowledge and tools for long-lasting homes and communities, today announced the launch of the 2026 ResilieNomics-in-Action Fellowship (RNAF) program.
Over the past decade RAF published two books, helped create three documentaries, led technical development of the IFC Building Resilience Index, catalyzed the Resilience Youth Network, created an illustrated educational series, launched an annual resilience awards program, released a range of consumer guides, quizzes, articles and other materials and conducted extensive outreach through news and social media, conferences and community presentations.
RNAF aims to nurture the next generation of built-environment resilience champions. Program applications can be submitted during March and April and selections will be made in May. The fellowship period will extend from mid-June 2026 to mid-April 2027, with holiday and summer breaks.
The 2026-27 RNAF program seeks applicants who are US legal residents, early-mid career (5-20yrs experience), with at minimum a college or vocational degree and knowledge/exposure/interest in building design, construction, operations and/or maintenance. Personal experience with building damage/disasters is a plus.
Fellows are expected to engage part-time with RNAF, while holding other employment. They will be provided free materials and receive a stipend for the term of the program.
